Throughout history, lupins have been associated with the wolf, symbolizing bravery, strength, and independence. The "Hill of Lupins", located in the Ella Valley in Israel, transforms into a vibrant blue landscape each spring. This valley is historically significant as the site where the ancient Israelites faced the Philistines in battle, and where David defeated Goliath.
After the tragic events of October 7th, 2023, Dvora created this painting because of the associations of the lupin flower which echo the bravery and inner strength of the people of Israel as they confront the challenges they face.
